Every scan combines three layers. Posting signals, computed instantly: how long the job has been open, whether LinkedIn marks it reposted, applicant volume relative to its age, salary against market benchmarks, description detail, company size, and scam-language patterns. These produce the authenticity and ghost-job scores. AI verdict: the full description is read together with those signals and the company's news from the past 12 months (weighted by how recent and how large it is) to give Apply, Consider, or Skip, with reasons and dated sources. Your fit (Pro, with a resume): your resume is compared to the requirements and the competition to give a fit score, callback odds, and the top fixes to make before applying.
It's a strong signal, not a guarantee. The verdict combines hard facts from the posting (age, reposts, applicants, pay, company size) with an AI reading of the full description and the company's recent news, and it shows its reasons so you can judge for yourself. It's tuned to be honest, not optimistic: it will tell you to skip jobs that look fine at first glance.
A ghost job is a listing where the company isn't actively hiring: used to build talent pipelines, satisfy processes, or never removed after the role was filled. Verdiq looks for reposted listings, roles still open after weeks with hundreds of applicants, missing pay where listing it is the norm, and thin template descriptions — and weighs recent company news — to flag roles likely to go nowhere.
