Verdiq ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Verdiq Chrome extension and associated backend API. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled.
Account information — When you register, we collect your email address and optional display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name, and profile picture from Google's OAuth service.
Resume data — If you choose to upload a resume, the file contents are stored on our servers solely to compute a match score against job listings you scan. Your resume is never shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
Job page data — When you scan a LinkedIn job, the extension reads the job title, company name, job description, location, and applicant count from the LinkedIn page and sends this data to our API for analysis. We do not store full job descriptions beyond a short-lived analysis cache.
Usage data — We track your daily scan count to enforce plan limits. We do not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or any data from pages you visit outside of LinkedIn job listings you explicitly scan.
Payment data — Billing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. We receive subscription status and plan information from Stripe after a successful payment.
We use collected data to: provide and improve the job analysis service; enforce free and paid plan limits; authenticate your account; send transactional emails (verification, password reset); and process subscription billing through Stripe.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Account data is retained while your account is active. Resume files are deleted when you remove them from the extension Settings screen. Analysis cache entries expire within 24 hours. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at hello@verdiq.com.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plaintext. We use JWT tokens with a 7-day expiry for session authentication.
Verdiq is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
